Chuncheon Legoland Korea Resort
Chuncheon Legoland exceeded my expectations. When five-year-old Woo-joo and his mom suggested we go together,
I expected something like, "Maybe we'll be able to build a few Lego blocks or see some drawings."
But when the ticket collector's hand hooked like a Lego doll, my amazement began.
It was a place where Lego came alive. The Lego blocks a child creates don't just exist in their imagination; they come to life.
Chuncheon is famous for its dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken), so we decided to have dakgalbi at least once. "Hangari Dakgalbi Makguksu" is a popular restaurant that serves generous portions of homegrown vegetables. BTS's V, who had just completed his military service the day before, reportedly visited. After a delicious meal, my husband offered to take my child on a tour of the vegetable farm. A large greenhouse was growing a variety of fresh vegetables that are supplied to school lunches. Thanks to this, we were able to experience the farm and pick our own tomatoes, lettuce, and peppers.

After a meal, we often take a break at a cafe, a regular part of our travel routine.
We visited Farmer's Garden Bakery Cafe, located near the restaurant, which sells bread made with famine-prevention crops.

Now that we've filled our bellies and rested, we're ready to have some fun and head to Legoland.
We've booked a room at the resort, so we'll spend one day of our two-day trip enjoying the water and the next day exploring the theme park.
We started our first day. The indoor water play pool with floating Lego figures is located on the second floor of the building, so you can come back wet after playing in the water and change into your new clothes. I wish I had worn the robes provided in the room. As a first-time guest, we thought they were for the guest room, so we only brought our swimsuits. It would have been more comfortable to return to the room in our robes. I'll do that next time.
The indoor pool was filled with large, soft Lego blocks, so the kids used them to make boats and float on them instead of tubes. Adults could relax on the beach or in the bushes and watch the kids. Lifeguards were on duty.
The next morning, we went to the Bricks Family Restaurant, where we had a breakfast reservation. As expected, chefs and waiters, fashioned from thousands of tiny Lego blocks, were waiting for us. Through the window, we could see the playground equipment. Fueled by our determination to have fun, we ate a hearty meal.
After riding a few rides, I was getting tired of the heat, but then I came across an airplane that rode on water and a pirate ship that shot water guns at each other, and we had a blast shooting them. My clothes got soaked, but there was a closet-style dryer to dry them, and I quickly dried them off as I walked.
We passed the snoring Lego soldiers and arrived at the Ninjago roller coaster inside the red castle. Woo-joo didn't cry during the ride, and when he got off, he was so scared he almost burst into tears, but he held it back because he was his brother. At 50, I was so scared I kept my eyes closed.
There were still a few more rides left, but the adults were growing tired and had to think about the time it would take to get home, so I grabbed the child's wrist and dragged him out. The child, who insisted on playing more, yawned and cried, eyes half-closed, before falling into a deep sleep as soon as we got in the car. Perhaps the dream was about Legoland.
